Wort des Tages: Sonnenaufgang

Der Sonnenaufgang: (n.) the sunrise.  'Die Sonne' means 'the sun' and 'aufgang' is simply 'rising' or 'ascent.'  

This is one concept that passes basically unchanged from German to English and back again.  I feel like talking about it today because I have some nifty pictures on the topic to share.
